Anyway, I sat down trying to draw my chibi Mega Man, but every attempt looked...ugly. He didn't look like the one I posted last month. At all. So, I decided to draw something else. Kind of similar, but different enough, right?
If I hadn't drawn something else, you'd probably be looking at a picture of Mega Man fighting one of his many robot master enemies. But alas, the inspiration did not come!
I chose to draw a boy fighting a giant Godzilla-like monster, instead. I figured, maybe he's been watching too many old episodes of Ultra Man (think Power Rangers, but even stranger). If you ask me, this is what he's imagining. But who knows? Maybe it's all really happening? I'll let you decide. ^_^
Anywho, I'm still on my journey to becoming a better digital painter, and what better way to hone my skills than to do these cool little mini-illustrations? I figured not everything had to have so much thought put into it, but that doesn't mean it can't be a complete work of art.
For the record, I call this a mini-illustration because this is the actual size that I worked at. All I had to do was convert it into a jpeg and add a watermark, and I was ready to post! Nice and easy, like instant ramen.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.

Anyway, thanks a lot. I'm glad it brings you back, even if it's in a weird, vague sort of way.

Have you seen Mind Game? Your picture reminded me of the black and white 50's anime sequences. Very old school.
Keep 'em coming? : D

Stylized as ever! Lovin' every bit of this. The textures... those adorable stubby little arms... and that's a really nice fire effect.
Sweet!
