Hello!
This is a commission done for the wonderful  , one of the best pixel artists I know, and she's absolutely a great person to boot! Do yourself a favor and go check out her sweet, candy-coated gallery. ;DI don't remember her ever mentioning the name of the character, but the blond-haired girl you see before you is like a virtual representation of Firstfear, and standing next to her is her friend, Bunce. The two of them work at the Numnum Cafe (pictured in the background). Speaking of backgrounds, I rarely do them, but I'm so glad I'm offering it as an option for my commissions right now. It's great practice and I'm finding they really do take an image to the next level! For those who are interested, I'm still open for commissions. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. When you say pointy vertices, I assume you mean the tapered ends of the lineart?
And don't worry, your character is going to look awesome without a background. Sometimes simplicity is best, and I think this is one instance where you'll have to agree with me on that. ;D
