If you have the spare time, you should definitely make something for the contest! I had fun with mine.

Anyway, Mary Ann is cosplaying as Zero Suit Samus from the Metroid series.

It's a simple concept, and probably one of the more obvious choices: you hand me a character with blond hair, great physique, and ask me to dress her up as an existing character, the outcome is pretty clear. It was either Peach or Zero Suit Samus, and I may end up doing the former as well (multiple entries are allowed), if I have the time.

Strangely enough, I really like the way she came out anatomically. I have been very rusty on my females lately, and while I'm not an anatomy genius, for the things I do, I think this came out nicely. I'm also very partial to the tail. I don't know why.

Also take notice of the light bulb in her gun. I figured, since it's a cosplay and all, she probably wouldn't be carrying around an actual gun-whip thing, so she probably stuck a few pieces of plastic and metal together and taped a light bulb on the end, calling it her gun.

This probably took around 3 and a half hours to complete, from sketch to finish. A good bit of that last half hour was me trying to pick a background out of the ones I had made.

I should note that, although the two most recent fully-finished works in my gallery contain images of anthro characters, it's not necessarily something I'll be sticking to. The first was something of a commission, and this one was for a contest, so...yeah. Not that anthros are bad or anything, I just prefer to draw humans, that's all. And I thought I'd make that clear.

In any case, I hope likes it, whether it wins or not.

EDIT: I colored her hair scrunchy red (as it was previously and accidentally blond before), and I also added a little bit of lipstick to the top lip to make her look more feminine. She was looking a little too...manly in the face.
